Scheduled Coaches
It is a good idea to take advantage of one of the many coaches that make regular trips between various towns and places in Iceland to see some of the beautiful sites that Iceland has to offer.
Tickets are sold at the BSI Coach Terminal, situated close to the city centre. Before deciding where to go, it's a good idea to stop by at the Reykjavik Tourist Information Centre at Adalstraeti 2 and check out the hundreds of brochures from all around the country and get advice on your itinerary.
BSI Coach Terminal
The BSI Terminal is Iceland’s central coach station, located off Hringbraut, just south of the city centre. Regular long-distance buses serve all parts of the country (such as Akureyri or Egilsstadir).
The bus terminal has an Internet café where you can check your e-mail while you wait for your bus, and a cafeteria/restaurant.
Reykjavik Excursions at BSI offers special bus “passes” for unlimited travel during a certain period, or for travel around the Ring Road at your own pace. On certain routes, you can also choose to fly one way, and take the bus back, or vice versa.
