Bank Holiday in Reykjavík? The first weekend in August is traditionally the time when the city dwellers head for the rural parts of the country. A healthy proportion of the public has however the good sense of eynjoying a relaxing time in the capital.
Valgeir Guðjónsson, one of Iceland's premier singer / songwriters, belongs to this group of Reykjavik dwellers and will be celebrating Bank Holiday August the first in his centrally located homebase, NemaForum located on Lækjartorg Square. Enjoy a mix of Icelandic songs in Icelandic and English and get a rare insight of some of Iceland‘s more obscure peculiarities. Valgeir´s young daughter, Vala, accompanies her father and performs a few of her songs which have caught the attention of music aficionados.
