There are several Bed & Breakfast establishments in the city. The way this accommodation works is that you basically rent a room in someone’s house during your stay. Often the owner of the Bed & Breakfast is someone whose children have grown up and moved out and these warm and cosy environments can be a very good way to experience the home life of Icelanders.
