Cafés, Bistros and Bars
Cafés and coffee shops are one of the most abundant sights in Reykjavik city centre. There is practically one on every street corner, but each one has a defining ingredient that makes it special.
Some of these also serve as bars, like the popular Kaffibarinn, which houses the darlings of the Icelandic art scene and turns into a dance club after midnight until the small hours of the morning. Others double as restaurants serving bistro-style food, such as Vegamót, Cafe Solon, Cafe Victor and Cafe Oliver.
