Open from 20:00–21:00

Kristín Helga Ríkharðsdóttir is the 53rd artist in the exhibition series in D–gallery, which invites artists who have had a formative impact on the Icelandic visual arts scene to present their first solo exhibition in a public museum.

Kristín works across different media, where she transfers ideas from experiences, stories and everyday objects into structures. In the form of paintings, staged photography, sculptures, videos and sound, she deals with the hyperreality of everyday and examines the tension between the natural, human-made and staged. By blending the natural and human-made and widening the boundary between real and staged, Kristín attempts to mirror the world we live in, where the boundaries between reality and fiction are blurred.

Admission with museum ticket. Free for Annual pass- and Culture Card holders, free for visitors under 18.
