Christmas Decorations

In the lead-up to Advent, horticulturists from the Reykjavík Botanic Garden and members of the Icelandic Horticultural Society will host a workshop in the Botanic Garden‘s Display Greenhouse on creating Christmas decorations from natural materials.

Get useful tips from us on different ways to make festive decorations, and learn the techniques for crafting wreaths from birch.

Participants should bring the materials they plan to use, such as rings, ribbons, wire, evergreen foliage, and other ornaments, as well as pruning shears and wire cutters. A small supply of additional natural materials, such as birch, will also be available on site.

The workshop is free of charge and everyone is welcome, we heartily welcome children to this event.
