Kalais Quintet will give a concert in Salurinn Kópavogur on Sunday, May 12 at 1:30 p.m.

The quintet is made up of instrumentalists from the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, flautist Martial Nardeau, oboist Matthías Nardeau, clarinetist Grími Helgasyn, horn player Emil Friðfinnsson and bassoonist Brján Ingasyn. The members will play two pieces by Martial.

Martial is retiring from the Symphony Orchestra this fall, and with this concert he is saying goodbye to his fellow players of many years. The works are his reflections and memories in tones about the years in the band.

The concert is over half an hour long and without intermission. Admission is free and everyone is welcome while space allows.
Kópavogur town and the Cultural Foundation of FÍH sponsor the concert.
