Sheep Shearing and Extended Opening Hours

On Saturdays and Sundays during Advent (from November 29th to December 21st), Reykjavík Park and Zoo will have extended opening hours. The park will be decorated with Christmas lights, the Christmas Cat will be in its usual spot, and candles and fires will be lit throughout the garden in the afternoons on weekends. Bæjarins Beztu will offer festive treats in the café, and the program around the animals will have a Christmas theme. Opening hours will be from 10 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays and Sundays during Advent. On other days, the zoo will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM, except on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day when it will be open from 10 AM to 3 PM, and closed on Christmas Day. Regular admission fees apply throughout December.
